ETHOS

             The ethos of the school is that a friendly, relaxed and non-pressurised environment should be   created, within which the children can happily perform to the maximum of their abilities. Every pupil will be afforded the opportunity to learn in a friendly stress-free environment.

             Every effort shall be made to give pupils as broad an education as possible. This will be achieved by affording the pupils the opportunity, at some stage in their primary education, to experience as many extra-curricular activities as possible such as swimming, stage drama, musical instrument, choir, several sports, computers and educational trips. It is a key aim that when leaving Holycross NS every pupil will not only have a sound academic base but also a good set of values and most importantly an interest in some extra-curricular area which will in future years give them a recreational interest and the opportunity to grow, develop and mix with fellow human beings.
